Gotham sees the Emmy-winning star of The Shield taking up a gun and badge again, this time as Captain Nathaniel Barnes. The characters is described as a “law and order zealot who lands on the GCPD like a tornado, ripping out the dead wood of Gotham’s police force.”

Chiklis will be a series regular, and debuts in the fourth episode of Season 2. The episode is titled “Strike Force,” which is a little Easter egg for fans of The Shield.
